Since his first album in French, Silicone Villeray, Robert Robert has confirmed that his shift from DJ to singer-songwriter was a good idea. He introduce his second album last may : Bienvenue Au Pays. He describes it as his country album: a vulnerable aggregation of repressed emotions, a mix of anachronic stories and metaphors, oscillating between hits and pop anomalies, queb and international influences.

In the last two years, Robert Robert has been nominated for the Félix-Leclerc award, the SOCAN de la Chanson award, the Slaight Music award, but also in the Alternative Album category at the ADISQ.
