LOU-ADRIANE CASSIDY

From the time she successfully released her first single “Ça va ça va” in 2017, Quebec-based singer-songwriter Lou-Adriane Cassidy showed tremendous promise despite her young age.

Her debut album, C’est la fin du monde à tous les jours, was released in February 2019 to great acclaim in Quebec and France. She rapidly gained attention by winning the Lucien award for Pop Album of the Year at the 2019 GAMIQ ceremony and by receiving two ADISQ nominations that same year, for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year and Revelation of the Year. In 2020, the Académie Charles-Cros granted her its prestigious Coup de cœur award for her debut album. Equally valuing her talents as a singer-songwriter and performer, she combines compositions and collaborations with ease, putting herself in service of the works she chooses. The single “J’espère encore que quelque part l’attente s’arrête” lays the groundwork for a sophomore, “Lou-Adriane Cassidy vous dit: Bonsoir” album that’s even more assured and uncompromising than its predecessor.
