CLAY AND FRIENDS

Clay and Friends offer a percussive mix of hip-hop, soul and funk supported by a prose that reflects what is now known as La Musica Popular De Verdun. Known for their supercharged live shows, Clay and Friends have rocked more than 1,750 Canadian and European crowds since 2015 under the #KeEpItMoViN' umbrella. In March 2017, the band released their debut album, Conformopolis, and in 2019 released an English-language EP titled La Musica Popular De Verdun, streamed over 20 million times.

In May 2020, the band was named Révélation Radio-Canada Chanson 2020-2021 and, along with Grouillades, won the Pop EP of the Year at the Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec (GAMIQ). Their song Going Up The Coast is certified as a Gold single, commemorating the 40,000 digital sales of the single in Canada. Their hit single has accumulated over 16 million listens to date since its release in October 2018. The group is also nominated for the prestigious Félix-Leclerc Award 2021.

Clay and Friends has over 30 million listens to its catalog since its debut on streaming platforms. On November 12, 2022, Clay and Friends released their 3rd EP entitled AGUÀ with six tracks including one in English. In less than a month, the band sold out their first MTELUS in Montreal for the launch of their AGUÀ EP. They then announced an additional MTELUS on May 21, 2022 in addition to having sold out their Quebec City launch at the Impérial Bell in Quebec City and their Parisian launch AGUÀ at POPUP! Du Label on March 14th 2022.

La Musica Popular De Verdun is currently moving its thang with the album AGUÀ EXTEND'EAU, released on June 10, 2022, with the participation of Louis-Jean Cormier, Comment Debord, Mantisse and Marilyne Léonard.
