Patche are much more than a band of man-machines. Sure, they’re surrounded by a whole arsenal of electronic gear, but there’s real feeling in the groove. Driven by five longtime friends who play with—or as—Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu and zouz, the Montréal instrumental band dives headfirst into electronics, led by modular synths and supercharged by a punk-leaning drive thanks to drum machines, acoustic drums, electric and synth bass, and even a synthesized harmonica (!).
Patche crafts an electro sound that’s both psychedelic and motorik, built from hypnotic rhythms and off-kilter loops. Their music moves fluidly between experimental rock, Berlin School techno, art-rock, avant-garde and EDM, all swirling together in a restless sonic vortex.
The band has played major stages across Québec (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, La Noce, FME) as well as festivals across the Atlantic (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives), racking up tours in Europe and the UK along the way. Their shows are hypnotic and immersive—designed to spark dancing, even trance—with the audience becoming an integral part of the experience.
Following Patche (2023) and Document (2024), Mode, their third album, was released in October 2025 via popop.
